Run faster!

January 27, 2011

I got up early for my workout this morning on the treadmill in Dave’s basement. First, I fueled up with some strawberry GU Chomps! I warmed up for a mile then did 3 repeats of 2 miles at 8 min pace. I did half a mike rest between each. I was supposed to go at my 10k pace but I went slower. Hopefully I can work my way up to the appropriate speeds so … [Continue reading]

But I LOVE pain!

January 25, 2011

I realized this past weekend how much I love pain.  Please don’t report me to a psychologist!  I’m sure you will agree that you do too!

As I ran the Boston Prep 16 miler, each hill I came to, I thought “Why am I doing this again?”  I also thought “Why am I running when it is this cold out?”

I remember my last marathon.  There weren’t as many participants as in my last two … [Continue reading]
