I’m Sore-y Coach!

My body was still pretty sore from my long run this Sunday.  I was supposed to run 6 miles and tempo pace Monday but took a rest day and I was supposed to run 9 miles yesterday but I cut it down to 7.  I am also considering going my typical Hal Higdon taper week which calls for 12 miles this weekend instead of the 20 my plan I got from a coach calls for.  With all the soreness and potential injuries, it might be smart to go for what my body knows best.  I’m going to check in to see what my coach says!

On the upside, I did get my workout in this morning that was on my plan.  Partially thanks to my friend Denise.  She called me seeing if I wanted to run in the morning.  I was planning on it anyways, but knowing she was meeting me made me more motivated to get up!

After my workout, I picked up a cup of coffee from Flour Bakery today.  It is delicious and makes me smile.  But I need to try to start to make my coffee and am considering cold brewing.  I want to try to reap some savings from buying less food out!  And I can prevent sad coffee cup syndrome…when the coffee leaks down the seam of the paper cup when you take sip.  That happened to me this morning!

    I'm all about the plan modifications. Especialy because I"m always squeezing in random runs here & there that derail the plan for a few days after because I'm so sore! I need to get more consistent, for sure.

    I went to Flour for the first time last week…and I was super impressed! I loved my Sunshine muffin and the price of the coffee. Have you had their sandwiches? Are they good?
