Kale Chips

Kale is great because it is a great source of:

  • High fiber
  • Vitamin C
  • Folic acid and Vitamin B6 to help prevent heart disease, dementia, and osteoperosis
  • Manganese to help your body’s defense system

So how do you eat kale?  It doesn’t really taste the best (in my opinion) when it’s raw, so I like to make kale chips!  They are easy and pretty tasty!

STEP 1:  WASH THE KALE AND PREHEAT YOUR OVEN TO 350 DEG F

STEP 2:  CUT ALONG THE STEM….IT TASTE GROSS…YOU DON’T WANT TO EAT IT!

STEP 3: CUT KALE INTO SMALLER PIECES SO YOU DON’T LOOK LIKE A MONSTER TRYING TO EAT A SMALL VILLAGE WHILE TRYING TO SHOVE A HUGE PIECE OF KALE INTO YOUR MOUTH

STEP 4:  MIX KALE WITH EVOO, FRESH GROUND PEPPER AND SALT (TO TASTE)

STEP 5:  SPREAD OUT ON COOKIE SHEET

STEP 6:  BAKE THE KALE FOR 15 MINUTES (YOU MAY DECIDE YOU WANT MORE OR LESS)

STEP 7:  EAT THE KALE!

What is your favorite way to eat kale?
