I had my visit to a new PT yesterday and good news…IT’S NOT HIP BURSITIS!! I’M JUST WEAK! Which is GOOD news because it means I can fix it!
My PT said my injury is most likely from lack of cross training. It is so crazy how the one day of spin and one day of lifting helped my past marathon training.
I am to meet with my PT twice a week to work on fixing myself…and NO RUNNING until I am given the OK. I might be able to only go to PT for a few visits because of insurance and the amount of PT visits I have gone to before for my foot, but hopefully it will be ok. It might just be a hassle of me having to have my doctor call and request approval. We shall see!
I have some exercises I need to do for homework:
- Lateral leg lifts
- Bridge with leg lifts
- Piriformis stretch
- Quad stretch
My PT also said I could continue to go to yoga as long as I don’t have any pain. I am going to try to make it to a Vinyasa flow class tonight with my new mat to stretch out and build some strength!
Oh, did I mention I didn’t tell my PT that I have registered for Tough Mudder? I should probably mention that to him this Friday. He doesn’t know I may be doing something like this…
