I really needed to have a way to relax after work last night and running is out of the question. So I went to a Vinyasa flow class at Back Bay Yoga! I was all pumped up because I had my NEW mat to try out!
Class started and everything was going well. But then I started to get pretty sweaty…and I started to SLIP AND SLIDE! I was talking to Dave and he thinks I’m just an abnormally sweaty person. We were both kind of disappointed though because I had heard such great things about the mat I had purchased, one of which being that you wouldn’t slip! Maybe I should have gone with the big bucks and gotten the nicer mat. Maybe it was just the first time use? Or maybe I really am just too sweaty? Looks like I may be bringing my yoga towel with me more often!
The rest of class was great. There were lots of hip openers which is the part I LOVE. And before I knew it, I was at the end of class. I can’t lie and I must tell this story…I think I actually fell asleep in shavasana…I found myself going through a dream sequence and then giggled by accident. My giggles woke me up and yes it was slightly embarrassing! I tried to focus on staying awake for the rest of shavasana instead of relaxing too much haha!
After class, Dave and I made a simple dinner: sandwiches and soup! I made an egg sandwich and he had some grilled cheese. We are trying to be really good about saving our money! I even resisted buying breakfast this morning and was a good bean. I MADE my iced coffee and at some cereal I have stored at work! Only bummer about making the iced coffee is that I have to wait a little while for the freshly ground, freshly brewed amazingness to cool down. I’ve been meaning to try a cold brew iced coffee. Maybe this will be on my weekend to-do list! Kristina and I have been wanting to try the Pioneer Woman Iced Coffee…
