Last night I went to Figs in Beacon Hill last night with Dave to meet up with our friends Matt and Chrissy. I have been thinking about this pizza all weekend…not even kidding! And of course it was great to see Matt and Chrissy
Figs is a really small restaurant, so you often have to wait to get in since they only take reservations for parties of 6 or more. The service seems a little slow at times, but as long as you are with good company who cares! If you are in a rush, I’d go for the take-out! Chrissy said the gnocchi is amazing, while Matt is a huge advocate of the calzone. Dave and I will have to branch out from getting just the pizza, but we had to get it last night. We got the Isabelle’s pizza with ham, provolone, asparagus and sweet onions and half of the crispy eggplant. They were ahhh-mazing. Only comment would be that they cut the asparagus into smaller pieces so it’s easier to eat. We ate ALMOST the whole thing but had a slice and a half left which I’m eating for breakfast! I love cold pizza for breakfast!
After dinner, we went to J.P. Licks and I got the fresh strawberry rhubarb ice cream with chocolate sprinkles. I only got a kiddie cup because I’m trying to be a little better about my food since I’m not exercising as much and I’m actually not as hungry (I know…lame).
I am glad I have plans a lot of the nights this week to keep me distracted from my lack of exercising. It was legit difficult for me to walk yesterday, BUT I think that it might have been a result of the Jillian Michaels 6 week 6 pack video I did Monday night. The side plank when you pull in your leg really is a killer on my inner thighs! I’m hoping that that is why my body is hurting and not because of my hips because I don’t think I can take any more Ibuprofen, my stomach doesn’t seem to like it!
