Don’t get too excited…I didn’t actually go for a run but I do sometimes take small opportunities to run…like when I get to my street from my walk from the T on my way home I’ll run down the street about a quarter mile to my apartment. I must look like a goofball with my purse and dressed up or in regular clothes running to my apartment, but I’ll take what I can get.
My run today seemed quite silly actually that it made me laugh out loud for a while. Dave and I went to a photography workshop for his birthday and we were on our way back from the lunch break ,picking up coffee. We had spotted the sign for Starbucks and got out of the car. I sprinted from the car to the other side of the lot, about 500 feet. I was getting kind of grumpy because I was thinking, “Dave….really?! There is a spot right here and now I’m all wet from the rain!” Then I turned around and Dave was standing right next to the car because that was where the entrance to the Starbucks was. Yup…

As I sprinted back to the car in full giggle mode, I could barely catch my breath because I realized how silly I must have looked. When I got to Starbuck’s door, Dave pointed at me and said “Amateur hour!!!” I think this phrase came up when Rob was making fun of Dave one day and now it has been passed over to me.
Now time to do some PT exercises and ab work while Dave rubs running in my face…literally…he is running on the treadmill next to me! My hips were pretty sore all day but I was also sitting but I usually feel good after some stretching. I am hoping to fit in some yoga tomorrow! If I can’t make a class, I’ll explore some yoga options online!
Have you ever had an amateur hour?
