Dave and I headed to Maine yesterday for our friends Morgan and Drew’s wedding. I was a little worried at first because it was raining on our way up but the weather was absolutely perfect to go along with a perfect venue. The wedding seemed special because it was isolated from other houses and seemed like you were on your own little island.
The ceremony was beautiful. You heard the stories of how the couple met and how their friendship is strong. This sounds cheesy, but you could see the love. They also had confetti for when the newly married couple walked down the aisle, which made it especially fun.
After the ceremony, we started the cocktail hour with champaign with strawberry popsicles along with great appetizers such as lamb chop lollipops, cheese, fruit, veggies, lobster salad, shrimp cocktail, and more. For dinner, I chose the beef kebab, quinoa salad, pasta, salad, and veggies. My stomach could not be any more happy…I take that back-the desert selection was scrumptious. My favorite was the mini red velvet cupcakes and Dave fell in love with the whoopie pies!
After much dancing and celebration, Dave and I retired to our hotel and got a good nights rest. Now I must return to reality and get some work done that I have been putting off. And then get in a workout later today to burn off some of the party calories I consumed this weekend
Once again, congrats to our lovely friends and we wish you a happy honeymoon in Croatia!
Did you have any party calories this weekend?
