Last night I was supposed to go to a free pilates class at Fort Point but the thunder and lightning got in the way of that! It was so bad out that my coworkers were rallying by the window staring at rain like they haven’t seen it before.
In their defense, the storm brought on some pretty heavy thunder and lightning and caused all our power to flash on and then off. Everyone pretty much jumped out of their seats when the screens flashed black in front of them! There might have also even been a few yelps!
So what this meant was that my free class was cancelled since it was outside. This totally bummed me out! Even though I got a swim done in the morning, I desperately needed some sort of additional workout. I checked out the Davis Square BSC schedule and there was an “Ultimate Conditioning” class I thought I would try out.
I didn’t know what to expect, but I ended up loving it! It was full of cardio and strength intervals. AND I could tell how weak my hips still are which got me excited about attending this class and strengthening them up so I can kick some ass marathoning again!
Attending this class made me kind of glad that I didn’t cancel my BSC membership yet because I realized how much fun it is to be in a big group working out. I learn a lot and can feel the energy from everyone else. It is also nice to have an actual person rooting you on (or yelling at you) besides the DVD that you do over and over so much that you know exactly what they are going to say! Last night it was Campbell Thornton who was leading the class. I definitely sweat up a storm and made it “rain” on my mat (yah…I don’t glisten fellas-I SWEAT!) thanks to him, but it felt amazing.
I love being a sweaty mess. I was actually surprised Campbell wanted to put his arm on me for the pic since I was clearly pretty drenched haha. But I guess as a personal trainer, you get used to that!
Thanks for an awesome workout I’m looking! I would go next week but I may be traveling for work again so I’ll see him in two weeks! Gotta get in shape!
