Last night Dave and I needed a quick and somewhat affordable dinner so we chose Fridays. I got pretty excited to see Korean BBQ beef tacos on the menu for only $10! They ended up being ok even though they look like they are just spinach and greens (there are tacos hidden under there). But I can’t really compare them to the homemade crock pot beef tacos that I made! With me traveling this week for work, I haven’t really been able to make dinner. I’m kind of sick of going out to eat and can’t wait for a homemade meal.
After dinner, Dave and I went to the Patrick Watson and Andrew Bird Concert at the Met in Rhode Island. We were kind of bummed we got food beforehand because there was a food truck there selling tacos! BUT, we wanted to be safe because we all know a hungry Jess is a grumpy Jess! While we waited for the concert to begin, I made Dave take pictures with me!
The concert was really good with one exception. We had to stand for nearly 3.5 hours and my hips felt like they were on fire. The pain was getting worse and worse that I almost asked Dave if we could leave early. I couldn’t really focus on the music, but I tried to tough it out so he could enjoy the rest.
When I got home I at a small snack and popped some Ibuprofen. I think I may try to book a short sports massage appointment at Be Well Boston for this week!
Have you been to any cool outdoor concerts?
I have been to the Newport Jazz fest which is always fun and the old school Kiss 108 concerts when I was younger! I’m really, really pumped for Lollapalooza this year though!
What do you have planned for your Sunday?
I should probably avoid running today, so I’m thinking I might swim and some abs and core work! Then I think I might sit down and get my life organized for everything that is coming up this fall.
Do you sometimes get sick of eating out and just crave a good homemade meal?
Nothing can beat a homemade meal and being able to eat in your sweats or yoga pants!
