I biked Saturday through Tuesday…
Saturday – 10 miles
Sunday – 7 miles
Monday – 12 miles total (to and from work)
Tuesday – 12 miles total (to and from work)
Dumb idea! I went from no biking to biking everyday and my left butt cheek is not a happy camper. I have a soreness/pain that I think is my piriformis muscle. I remember this baby hurting way back when in my training for Boston Marathon and my long run.
So this means time to ease up on the biking. I may try to bike every other day and not try to bike like I did during Pumpkinman Half Ironman training. I haven’t been to a yoga class in a while so I think I should get back into that!
While Dave is off for his run (picture me with a grumpy face), I suppose I will do some abs or maybe try another P90x workout. Someday I will be able to run with Dave and my friends! I miss it terribly and can’t wait to be back at my healthy self. I’m still recovering from a cold and sound a bit raspy with occasional coughing fits and stuffed up nose still so it makes not running even more frustrating.
But, I have to look on the upside and think of the new fitness feats ahead of me. Getting back to yoga will be good. Maybe I can start to work on that headstand pose that Chrissy was working on and now is able to do!
In the meantime, I’ll enjoy America’s birthday! Happy 4th of July everyone!
