A girl who loves a bargain! Check out my new jacket!

I have been wanting to get a lighter jacket…ok…let’s re-phrase that…Dave has been wanting me to get a lighter jacket so that I don’t wear my Boston Marathon jacket everywhere I go and with every outfit. I suppose a marathon jacket doesn’t really sport to well when I’m wearing a dress bahaha.

So we had been looking for a jacket that would go with some of my work clothes and we found the Sofie Jacket by Ivanka Trump that we both liked. I felt a little goofy finding a jacket by her because I just think about the Apprentice but it fit well and had a more structured look which I was looking for. The only thing I was a little hesitant about was that the jacket wasn’t a full sleeve. I wasn’t in LOVE with the jacket and definitely wasn’t willing to spend $185 on it.

This past Friday we were in Lord and Taylor and the jacket was on sale…for $65. Dave and I knew it was meant to be. So now I have my lighter jacket! It’s not very fall like, but I will use it anyways and for next summer!

On top of that I got a French Connection tank top from Lord and Taylor that was originally $44 for $13!!! This tank is super comfy and soft. It is made much better than some of the tanks I get that are originally $5 and way softer.  Are you one of those people who when they shop, they touch everything?  Because that is definitely me!

I love knowing when I got a great deal! It makes wearing whatever I got feel even better!  Hey-I gotta save my money for special food occasions or races!

Do you wait sometimes for something to go on sale to buy it?

Dave and I used to live in the Back Bay area. This meant sometimes I could walk home from work through Downtown Crossing…Newbury St. and then finish up at the Prudential. You would think this could be deadly, but it actually was good because I could see first when things were on sale and I always knew when I was getting a good deal!

Dave is like a beast. He waits for his prey on All Saints and then strikes. I love that my boyfriend is fashion conscious. Is it bad that he calls me on fashion faux pas? I admit…I’ve become quite lazy and prefer my running/yoga clothes! BUT I do love a great dress that makes me feel very confident when I have an important meeting or presentation!

What is something you got on sale that you love?

I have this one dress I got on super sale at Lord and Taylor (I’ll have to post at a later date) that I wear for all my important presentations. I pretty much feel like a badass woman about ready to take over the world. Maybe the leather accents give me the touch of ‘tude that I need in my appearance so I don’t look like a 12 year old girl.
