I got really excited when I saw the “Blog That Run” article in the September issue of Runner’s World. The article says how if you write the blog well, you can actually advance your training. I definitely agree with this!
Runner’s World mentioned that with blogging:
- You feel more accountable if you write it and publish it. It sounds silly, but it actually does work!
- You gain a sense of camaraderie or can use it as a means of catharsis
- You can creating dialog with others and learn from them
If you ask my friends, they may say, “Jess tries to get everyone to run and everyone to start a blog.” Now I don’t think that’s such a bad thing…do you?!
If you are a blogger, has blogging helped you get faster?
What is your favorite thing about blogging?

It's true! I'm one that thinks about my blog race recaps even during the race, and it pushes me. It's kind of silly, but not really.
