Last night I got home and needed a workout. I find going to the pool being a lot of work (I know it’s not-I have to get that out of my head) so I decided to do a yoga video. I love my Jillian Michael’s Yoga Meltdown, but I really just needed something different.
I signed up for a free trial of YogaGlo.com which is an online resource for yoga videos! My first class was Tiffany Cruikshank’s Create Pliability in Hamstrings and IT Bands. I really liked this video because it was made for athletes and runners who have super tight leg muscles. I also enjoyed this video because it wasn’t a high paced class, it was more of a relaxing stretch class. I needed to decompress after a long week so this hit the spot. However, I don’t always want a relaxing stretch class. I sometimes want a class with a lot of power moves that get me working my strength. With the wide variety of classes available, I’m thinking I should be able to find a class to fit my mood.
I am looking forward to checking this site out a bit more, but after my 15 day free trial is up I may explore some of the other paid online yoga video websites to see which one I like best. Gaiam TV is another site you subscribe to and can get a free trial for. But there are also some free sites such as Do Yoga with Me and Yogis Anonymous that I will give a try. I won’t give up attending classes because it is a totally differnt feel, but I want to be able to have a way to do yoga every day if I want to and to my schedule.
YogaGlo seems to have some nice features. For instance, you can search for workouts by class duration, level, style, or teacher. For my first time, I searched by time because it was a Friday night and I needed a somewhat quick workout so Dave could have a friend to hang out with. After my 15 day trial I’ll have to give you a more detailed post of what I think of YogaGlo!
I missed my usual 8am Samara Yoga class this morning. Dave and I have a lot of work to do. I have to get prepared for my work trip (the one I needed my passport for), so we Dave and I are heading to…yes…iYo to do some work. I will confirm that we were the FIRST ones in iYo this morning!
Poor Dave’s computer won’t connect with the wifi here…so we may have to move locations, but I think it’s because he didn’t wear a flower in his hair. We all know that doing work is always more fun with a sock bun and a flower in your hair. I tried to convince Dave to do the same, but he didn’t want to. Now the sock bun and flower gods are punishing him by not letting him use the iYo wifi!
Wish me luck with work! I’m going to have to get my yoga session in later today. I’ll be taking advantage of my YogaGlo free trial period!
What do you have planned for today?
WORK! Yoga, and maybe sneak in some window shopping later and dinner downtown
Do you like do work in a cafe or someplace other than your apartment?
Strangely, I like to do work at work sometimes because I feel like I’m supposed to be doing work there. I can sometimes get distracted elsewhere. BUT depending on the work that I’m doing, I need to get out of my work environment and I’m more productive.
