Today I’m going to try to do errands and maybe a little bit of reading for work. But before getting to business, I needed a morning sweat. I did Jillian Michael’s Ripped in 30 week 1 workout thanks to Gaiam TV. As usual, I was sweating up a storm! She likes to do intervals of strength, cardio and abs in a manageable amount of time. I love that her workouts are always around half an hour. I don’t feel like I’m sucking up my day with a workout but I also feel like I’m getting in a good quality workout. I think I’m going to try to do this workout for a few weeks to see what results I can get!
I’ve been doing so well working out at home, but the downside about working out at home is that Dave is like a puppy and will get antsy, wanting to go do something or hang out. He will either try to talk to me or imitate me while I am trying to get my workout done. It is cute at first but then I tell him to scram!
Later tonight I plan on doing a YogaGlo workout with Tiffany. I seriously wish I could take one of her classes in real life! If she ever comes to Boston I’ll need to see if she can meet up and I can interview her! I guess I could always do an online interview, but I really want to see her in real life! I’d love to work my way up to her level to be able to poses like this:
I told Dave that I want to be able to do a handstand someday, but know I need to work on my headstand before I get there! But my practice has come so far since I have first started yoga. I‘ve done 16 days in a row! So you can tell that my 30 day yoga challenge is coming along like it was my job. I look forward to every session and I feel like it already has become a part of my daily routine.
I was a bit excited for this challenge and decided to start before September 1st which was the official start of the 30 day yoga challenge in honor of National Yoga month. If you are interested in joining me in this challenge, you don’t have to start when the official start is! The whole point of this is to inspire others to learn to practice yoga more consistently and to learn more about your body and mind. It’s not just about the actual challenge. So join in!
Do you sometimes want to be friends with people you just know from online?
Yes all the time! Tiffany from YogaGlo is becoming my yoga idol! Haha an of course I always want to meet and become buds with my friends from the blogosphere, twitter, DailyMile, etc.
What is one of your fitness goals?
Besides my 3 hour marathon some day, I would like to be able to do some of the more advanced yoga poses like the headstand, handstand, and some other crazy arm balances!
