Gaiam Yoga Block Giveaway!

October 1, 2012

Guess what!  You can win this yoga block!

If you are like me, you love your accessories and when doing yoga is not an exception to this! As I have increased the frequency of yoga at home, I realized how important it was to own my own yoga block and strap.  The yoga block helps me have better form and alignment in my practice and it also can be used for strength exercises other than yoga. I found this Pinterest workout that uses a yoga block to help you build strength in your core.  Dave even gets use of the block because he will often use it as a little foot rest when we are watching TV until I tell him to get his stinky feet off of it!

When I didn’t have a yoga block, I would try to find other objects to use but I never really was the same and I ended up sacrificing form. Now I’m able to do moves like this!

Because I fell in love with my Gaiam yoga block, I contacted them and asked if they could donate a yoga block to giveaway to one of my readers. They said yes!

Here are the ways to win this yoga block.  Please leave a separate comment for each entry!  This means there are FOUR different ways you can enter and four different comments you will have to leave.

  1. Tweet “I want to win the @lilmissrunshine @gaiam #yoga block giveaway! #fitfluential”
  2. Re-pin this post on Pinterest (make sure the image with “Pin it to win it!” is on the pin)
  3. Check out the Gaiam Yoga section and tell me one item you really really want that would make your yoga practice be even better!
  4. Tell me what yoga pose you are particularly excited about trying with your new yoga accessories!
Check out Gaiam’s Facebook page and follow them on Twitter!

Open to US residents only.  Contest winner will be picked randomly using Random.org’s Random Number Generator.  Contest ends Friday, October 12, 2012.

given I've only tried yoga from the comfort of my own home I can never reach the floor when I do the ones where you lean forward and stay in that position. this would help me out.

  9. Well, obviously, a block would help, but Gaiam's mats look awesome! I would def pick one of those!

  10. It's simple, but I could really use a block for half moon, I swear my arms aren't as long as they should be!

Hi Jess!! Retweeted, pinned, and now answering your questions! I think I would use the block the most, but I LOVE the Gaiam padded yoga strap. We did a few Quad stretches in class last night with a strap and I definitely felt the muscles doing some hard work! I would be really psyched to use the block to work on my yoga split pose. Still having trouble with that one, and the block REALLY helps in class

ok, the essential yoga mat is a MUST

And the Cardio burn yoga. Now that sounds like a good workout!

AND the no slip yoga socks! I usually do yoga barefoot but depending on my instructure, I can work up a sweat so much that I slip. I may invest in these!

Just pinned it on my inspire me board – because honestly, nothing helps me come full circle more than yoga. It's more than just a work out, it's one of the only times I can truly just let my mind empty and focus on each movement of my body.
