My hips have been sore but I wanted to make it to run club. My friend Ariel said she could make it and it has been a while since we have caught up. We decided to aim shorter route of 3.5 miles because of my hips and her legs were sore from her 16 miler this weekend. I was glad we decided to make it to the run-check out the turnout this week!
My other friend Katie showed up, Leah who I met at my first run, and some of the Lulu team that I have met before-Helena, Page and Andy. My hips actually felt fine during the run. Sometimes sitting throughout the day at work causes them to tighten up, but once I am more active they feel better. I also think that my Sunday yoga class with Kim Rajotte really helped. I was even considering doing a short run tonight before a dinner with my running club ladies but think I might take a rest since I have early AM classes the rest of the week.
After the Lulu run, a lot of the run club headed to Back Bay Social Club for one of my favorites…meat candy! Oh meat candy…you are simply delicious and I can get used to eating you every Monday! I am really looking forward to bringing Dave to the Back Bay Social Club-I think he will really like the food.
Unfortunately, it didn’t take too long for Ariel, Katie and I to get tired all of a sudden. We headed out earlier than some of the other runners, but I think we were all glad to have made the effort to get out there. It wasn’t too cold once you started running and it is kind of peaceful out by the river in the night time (as long as you have some company!).
I’m a little bummed that I won’t be able to make it to run club next week. I have a date with some of my work friends to get some $1 oysters! I’ll make a return the following week though and hopefully you join too!
