Do you remember how I was trying to work on The Happiness Project? Well I have been slacking on that. The Happiness Project is a great idea and I want to still work on it, but with how much I am trying to fit into days, it is hard to make it a priority.
I saw friends hashtagging #100HappyDays and was curious what this was all about. When I saw 100 Happy Days, website, I saw the following:
It was a good question. Could I? Sometimes I find myself in a slump. It may not seem like I am via my blog because I keep most of that to myself and close friends, but I am only human and have my own ups and downs.
Since I like challenges that require me to do something for a certain number of days (i.e. 30 Day Yoga Challenge, 20 in 40 at Pure Barre, Healthworks Workplace Warrior Challenge, etc.), I looked into the 100 Happy Days and how it worked.
How it Works
- Sign up online at the 100 Happy Days website.
- Post one picture a day with #100HappyDays.
- At the end of the challenge, you can get a book compiling all your happy moments from those 100 days!
If you don’t want to be public, it’s okay! There are a few of ways to participate:
- Be public with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
- Be semi-private about it but must come up with your own hashtag so that 100HappyDays can find your pictures
- Be really private and your pictures to MyHappyDay@100happydays.com
Why I want to Participate
The 100 Happy Days challenge is more manageable than the Happiness Project because I just need to post ONE picture a day!
I think this challenge is great too because we don’t need to do a huge makeover to our lives to find more happiness-it can be found simply in a good cup of coffee, a new app that makes our life easier, or a hard workout with a friend. It is important to appreciate the little things and remind ourselves that we can find at least one thing-no matter how bad the day-that will make us smile.
