I haven’t gone running in over a month now and I had a 5 day break from working out completely. I was sick and the snow was preventing me to getting to classes that I had signed up for. I used to be really good about working out at home with DVDs I have or videos online but I just wasn’t motivated. I had the winter blues.
I realized that there isn’t a day I go without hip pain. I always am feeling like my body needs to stretch and my mind needs a refresh. After my 5 day break, I returned back to working out with a yoga class and it reminded me how yoga is the answer.
Inspired by the prAna and SweatPink 30 day yoga challenge and remembering how much I enjoyed when I challenged myself to 30 days of yoga in 2012 for my personal challenge, I decided that it’s time to do it again.
I am going to do 30 consecutive days of yoga. My yoga sessions do not have to be at an official class or studio and do not have to be a long session. I will count 15-20 minute sessions of yoga because there may be days that I want to attend another type of class (spinning, barre, bootcamp, etc.) and not have time to do a full hour or more of yoga.
Since I’m not a yoga teacher and know that I would not be motivated to do those very quick sessions at home on my own, I am going to use YogaGlo to help me. Last time I challenged myself to 30 days of yoga I really enjoyed the videos with Tiffany Cruikshank and Kathryn Budig who had some great short videos.
Wish me luck!
