Guess what!!! I biked to and from work yesterday!!!! It felt SO good to have a sweaty workout again. Check out that sweat stain on my shirt!

As I was walking to the T to go home yesterday, I felt so giddy that I was going to run that I started to giggle, had a huge smile on my face and started to speed walk so I could get home faster! My new best friend told me the cold, hard truth. I have scar tissue build up on my plantar fascia, achilles and calf. When tendons get overused or pronate, they can slowly tear. In my case, I think it was a combination of the hillier runs and that I needed new running shoes. Once the tendons start to tear, scar tissue builds up to try to heal the areas. Yesterday morning I caught the first train to Boston. I dropped my stuff off to work and jogged over to Castle Island for my WBZ news video shoot!!
