Last year my girlfriends at work and I had a ladies fall pot luck. One of my friends Rosemary made a pumpkin lasagna from the Food Network’s Robert Irvine. This lasagna is delicious! Dave even asked if I could make it for Thanksgiving because he thinks turkey isn’t always the most exciting. I think he was inspired by our friend who has pasta and all Italian food for Thanksgiving. I love my pasta but wanted to try something a little different than our regular red sauce. I decided to go with something a little lighter and include shrimp! I haven’t had them in forever! The dish came out pretty well and I think we are going to make it again sometime!

I have been dying to make my own pasta sauce and finally got some ingredients to give it a go. I gathered some basics and designed to wing it.
Cut up all the ingredients.
Throw all ingredients in the crock pot and cook for as long as your little heart desires (I did overnight).

I love fettuccine alfredo, but always feel bad after eating it because it isn’t the most healthy meal. But now, I can eat this tasty meal guilt free! It is a little lighter than the typical fettuccine alfredo, but I personally like it.
